Food Hamper Delivery Volunteers from the Manitoba Transit Heritage Association will be involved in delivering food hampers using bus 28 (1960 GM “fishbowl”) to needy individuals and families for Christmas and Passover assisting the Christmas Cheer Board and Jewish Child & Family Services organizations.
Show & Shine The Manitoba Transit Heritage Association will display buses 111 (1937 Twin Coach), 28 (1960 GM “fishbowl”) and 751 (1971 GM “fishbowl”) at various parades.
A Trip Down Memory Lane... The MTHA will be visiting Creative Retirement Manitoba on Wednesday, August 27th for a trip down memory lane.

Transit Heritage Downtown Winnipeg Tours Heartland Tours International together with the Manitoba Transit Heritage Association will conduct two heritage tours of downtown Winnipeg aboard the 1937 Twin Coach on Sunday, July 20th and Sunday, August 24th. Bookings are available through Heartland’s website, just click on the Heartland logo above.

Red River Exhibition Old will meet new as both the Manitoba Transit Heritage Association and Winnipeg Transit team up to display their vehicles at the 2008 Red River Exhibition from June 13th until June 22nd. MTHA Buses 111 (1937 Twin Coach), 1768 (1950 Can-Car Brill Electric Trolley Coach), 751 (1971 General Motors “fishbowl”) and 953 (1981 Orion I) will be on display along with Winnipeg Transit’s 904 (2002 New Flyer Invero). Transit bus operator recruitment officers will be on hand to answer questions from the public about a career as a bus operator.
