1938–1950

QSL card

Created in 1938, when my call sign was VE4ADO. Modified in 1946 to show the postwar call sign. The printing plate was made in two stages: the outlined parts (below) were done by a typesetter; everything else was carved, in negative, on a battleship tile by yours truly.

Tourist's paradise? Who would want to share a province with those four vicious-looking carnivores? Tell me. The International Peace Garden is often called the Peace Gardens (plural) locally. National postal codes (e.g., R0M 0M0) rolled out in the 1970s, taxing my design sense considerably it seems.
