BLACK BEAR HUNT

Spring or Fall

When you join our bear hunts you have six hunting days and a full American plan. Included free is transfer from and back to Winnipeg International Airport and free use of some of our rifles (ammunition must be supplied by the hunter). We usually bait the bears close to tree stands or stalk them in fall where they come to feed on acorns. All terrain vehicles are used for transportation in and out of the wilderness hunting areas. Guided hunts are offered from April 20 until June 10, and from August 24 until September 28. Skinning, salting or freezing, and packaging of hides for transport are included. Bag limit: one bear per hunter.

Bear and deer hunts are conducted in a radius of approximately 60 miles from the lodge where Game birds also abound. Angling for walleye, northern pike, etc. is normally best in the spring in the nearby Fairford and Dauphin Rivers. Angling opportunities, as well as bird hunting are usually offered as a complimentary attraction without extra charge to hunters booked for bear or moose. We are a team of experienced guides, English and some German spoken, doing our best to please our clients.

During the past years we managed to get an average of about five record bears per season, with an overall success rate of over 95%. So if you are dreaming about that record trophy bear displayed in front of your fireplace or wherever, either black, brown or cinnamon, you will stand a very good chance here with us to fulfill this dream. We guide sportsman with either rifle, muzzle-loader or bow and arrow, and all of our hunts are conducted by fair chase.
