Located nine miles north of the Trans Canada Highway at Virden, Manitoba. We are a family operation consisting of Leonard and Marilyn Nykoliation (founders), Michael and Kylee Nykoliation and Gordon and Lisa Nykoliation and family.

Beaver Creek has been breeding Charolais since 1977. We bought our first purebred cows from Lone Pine Charolais and Geck Charolais. Originally we started out as commercial breeders and have selected our purebred herd to work with the same guidelines in mind; KEEPING THE COMMERCIAL MAN AS OUR PRIMARY FOCUS, as we all know an awful lot of time and research goes into raising quality seed stock cattle. We are committed to providing you with the service you deserve from our registered herd.

Our goal is to raise good quality beef bulls with lots of thickness, depth of body, and good hair coats, red or white, that will sire those heavy weight premium dollar calves our market demands. With calf prices as variable as they are, we feel there has never been a better time to take advantage of the performance a Charolais can offer. When we select replacement females for our cow herd we keep all of these traits in mind, as well as easy keeping cows with enough milk to wean well above breed average calves.

In the mid 1990's we found E.P.D's to be another tool that we could utilize to improve our genetic pool. We focus primarily on weaning weights and yearling weights, but never loose focus of calving ease and maternal strengths. They are the foundation of our cattle herd.
