Musical master
Musician Joe Fournier brought his gutsy country sound to the Watson Art Centre Old Fire Hall for a Pub Night, Oct. 24 and played to a “polite crowd” as he put it. The intimate setting allowed Fournier to sing and tell stories off his latest album Dirt Road Joyride. The next pub night will feature After All These Years.

The Dauphin and District Allied Arts Council presents recording artist Alana Levandoski in a very special sneak peek CD Release Show, Friday, November 21st, at the Watson Arts Centre! Doors open at 7, with the show to start at 8. Tickets just 10 dollars a person. This is your opportunity to hear the new Alana Levandoski CD performed live in an intimate acoustic setting. It’s also your chance to purchase a limited edition pre-release of her new CD, produced by Grammy Award winning, UK-based Coldplay producer Ken Nelson, before it’s release in February 2009! Canadian cowboy
Country singer Tim Hus provided an intimate concert in a local garage as part of the Old Fire Hall Pub Night, Oct. 1. Elections Canada is currently occupying the site typically used for the Dauphin and District Allied Arts Council pub nights. Hus performed Canadian inspired songs from his albums Bush Pilot Buckaroo, Huskies and Husqvarnas, Alberta Crude and Songs of the West.

Whole lotta Music
AC/DC tribute band Whole Lotta Angus played to an enthusiastic crowd at the Watson Art Centre, Sept. 26. The evening fund-raiser included AC/DC trivia and an Angus look-a-like contest.
