GEDCOM FILES

Genealogy computer programs (and there are many different ones!) are all written in different computer languages.  So, the makers of these programs created a translation file called GEDCOM.  This allows my files to work on your program, and your progam files to work with my program.

This is very useful, since we all know how much typing is involved in inputting our family information.  As a result, if I have information about the family that you do not have, I can just export that data as a GEDCOM file and give it to you.  You can then import that file into your own program, and VOILA! you have all the new information without typing it all out yourself!  Of course, this works both ways, and we can exchange information ad nausium if we want to.

I will not be listing the complete Family Tree on this site.  It is too large for starters, and has many living persons whose information I will not give out to just anyone.  So, if you wish to correspond with me regarding an exchange of information, please do so.  You can reach me at:  Angela Fieblekorn afiebelk@mb.sympatico.ca
