Dr. Vincent provides psychological therapies (cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) in group and individual formats to adult outpatients with sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. Dr. Vincent also provides supervision to Pre-Doctoral interns in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology and to Honours students in the Department of Psychology.
Dr. Vincent's research interestes are in the psychological assessment and treatment of sleep disorders, generalized anxiety disorder, mood disorders, and eating disorders. Specifically, I am interested in testing theories of health-protective beahvior as they apply to adherence to pscyhological treatment, for the purpose of further identifying factors which can maximize adherence behavior. In addition, I have an interest in developing measures to identify generalized anxiety disorder and further testing cognitive model of GAD as described by Dugas et al. (1998). Finally, I am very interested in evaluating group process factors which impact on outcome in the treatment of sleep disorders and mood disorders.
Dr. Vincent is currently involved in several studies, one of which involves the assessment of those with generalized anxiety disorder. Interested individuals should contact Dr. Vincent at (204) 787-3272 for further information.
