2005 Canadian National Jacobin Show
Date: November 4th, 5th, & 6th . 2005.
Location: Edmonton , Alberta.
Judge: Dennis Soares
The 2005 Canadian National Jacobin Show will be held in Alberta for the first time with the Central Canadian Jacobin Club as host. The show will be held in Edmonton on Nov. 4th, 5th &6th. This will be in conjunction with the CPFA Canadian Classic which could very well be the largest pigeon show Canada has seen. This early show will offer some conditioning challenges to all of our Jacobin breeders to have them ready, however I have no doubt we will all have some good ones in show shape. This may be the time to give your late hatched babies from 2004 some special consideration, since they may be too young to breed from. If they are set aside and allowed to moult early they may be great birds to show in early November. Edmonton has always been a wonderful show to attend. The fellowship is second to none and we have always had a very good time at this show. Jacobin Master Breeder Dennis Soares will be back by popular demand as Judge. In addition I have talked with Jacobin Master breeder Drew Lobenstein and he tells me he will be attending and probably showing . It looks like John Hundrup from Washington may be there also. This will be a truly international show with top breeders from both sides of the border. This will be a Jacobin show no serious breeder will want to miss.
The Canadian National Jacobin Show has 2005 Jacobin bands for sale. We have the yellow plastic bands this year again purchased from the CPFA and they are very attractive and easy to read. Contact Clint Robertson to purchase at 204-843-2986 or e-mail to <barj@mts.net>
You must have these bands to participate in the Master Breeder Program.
There is a new Jacobin discussion group on the internet which many of you may find very interesting. You can join by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Jacobins/ . There has been a great deal of interesting stuff from breeders around the world with pictures and discussion. It is interesting to note that Canadian Jacobins are being recognized around the world as some of the best so this is something we can all be proud of.
